Go Dog Go! We, at Pause Dog
Boutique, are avid supporters of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog
Show, which happens annually in New York City during the month of
February. But, we also firmly believe that every dog should
have its day, regardless of pedigree.
So ... we've decided to have our own show to celebrate our best
friends – full breeds, mixed breeds and everything in between
welcome!
|
 |
If the Go Dog Go! Show is cancelled due to the
weather, we'll schedule a snow date (TBD), so please don't let
weather-related worries stop you from pre-registering.

Join us for a day of fun as the
pride(s) of your life competes in the following classes (divisions):
•
Bad Hair Day – They tried to make me go get
groomed and I said, “No, no, no.” When you’re covered in hair or
fur, a bad hair day takes on a whole new dimension. Dare to let us
see your dog at her worst.
|
•
Most Adorable – They may not be glamorous, but
they are loving, sweet and Adorable with a capital A.
|
•
Most Mysterious Heritage – Do the words, “Only a
mother...” come to mind when you look at your dog? Does he perk up
when Sonny and Cher sing, “Half Breed?” This class is for those
lovable pets whose features … er ... cross all lines of breed
characteristics.
|
•
Celebrity Look Alike – If your dog looks like
Eddie from TV’s Frasier or even a human star (Lady Gaga, Madonna, Al Roker, maybe?), take center stage. Don’t be surprised if someone
wants a paw-tograph.
|
•
I Think I’ve Found My Twin (Dog/Owner Look Alike)
– Think your canine looks just like you? Think you were separated at
birth? Now’s your chance to find out.
|
•
Best Dog Duo – Double your pleasure, double your
fun with a pair of dogs walking together with one handler. The pair
will be judged on how well they go together. How you define “go
together,” is all up to you! (A single entry fee per pair.)
|
•
Look at What I Can Do! – Stupid pet tricks? No
way. I will delight you with my ________. It doesn’t have to be
outrageous. You’ll have 30 seconds to show off your dog’s best trick
or talent. It can be anything!
|
•
Cutest Puppy – W. C. Fields was right. Puppies
will always upstage you. So, we’re putting them in a class by
themselves. If you have a puppy 14 weeks to 6 months in age, you’re
invited to steal the show!
|
•
The Puparazzi’s Pooch – Move over Kim Kardashian
and Lindsay Lohan! This class is for canines with class and little
bit of sass. Think G.L.A.M.O.R.O.U.S. and flying first class.
|
•
Crowd’s Choice Best in Show – All of the winners
of individual classes are invited back to be judged by the crowd as
the best in show (no entry fee required). They all have their
charms, but there can only be one Best in Show.
|
•
Most Handsome – “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a
damn.” “Go ahead and make my day.” Does your dog inspire Julie Klam's phrase,
“You had me at woof?” If dashing, suave, noble and majestic don’t
begin to describe his good looks, then this is the class for your
four-legged friend.

Let the tail wagging begin, it's the Go Dog Go!
Show! |

The Go Dog Go! Show will take place indoors from 12-5pm at
Enigma, located at 1179 Route 199 in Red Hook, NY 12571.

|
The Go Dog Go! Show will also
feature a live DJ and live demonstrations by Pawsitive Vybe, Sirius
Play, and Junior Dog Show Handler Amelia H. Smith and her champion
show dog Diesel (aka “Foxglyn's Put Your Pedal to the Medal”). A
number of local organizations will be on hand for the duration of
the event as part of an Adoption and Information Fair.
K104’s Street Team will have their K104 table at the event from
11:30am-1pm. They’ll be streaming live and have an “enter to win”
box for great prizes!
We will also raffle off one item from Pause Dog Boutique’s
Companion
Wear product line.

|
|
The benefits of this event are
two-fold and far-reaching.
• Please bring one 5-lb. bag of dog food (lamb and rice of any brand
preferred) for a dog food collection. The food will be distributed
to families in need through local shelters via the Have a Heart Welfare Fund (just like we did through your
kind financial donations at Howl’oween 2011).
• Event proceeds will benefit HeARTs Speak (www.heartsspeak.org),
founded and directed by local pet photographer and animal advocate
Lisa Prince Fishler of Printz Photography. HeARTs Speak’s vision is
to “unite the individual efforts of animal artists and animal
rescues into collective action for social change.”
